Private service

Private consultations

If your situation falls outside an NHS pathway, our pharmacist can see you privately for minor ailments and, where it is clinically appropriate, issue a private prescription.

Important

We do not supply controlled drugs privately, under any circumstances.

Private prescribing here is limited to minor ailments. Anything outside that scope will be referred to your GP or the appropriate NHS service.

A private room

Consultations take place in a closed consultation room, not at the counter.

Private prescription

Where appropriate, a private prescription can be issued and dispensed during your visit.

Clear boundaries

If we cannot help safely, we will tell you and point you to who can.

Suitable for

  • Minor ailments and everyday health concerns.
  • Questions about medication you already take.
  • Situations where you do not meet NHS eligibility criteria.
  • A second opinion on something you have bought over the counter.

Not suitable for

  • Any controlled drug, we do not supply these privately.
  • Long-term condition management, which belongs with your GP.
  • Urgent or emergency symptoms, contact 111 or 999.
  • Repeat supplies of medication started elsewhere without records.

Ask about a private consultation
